This year, we will celebrate Thai New Year (“Songkran”) at Lokuttara on Sunday the 14th of April 2024. We are fortunate to have two esteemed senior Thai monks expected for this occasion: Luang Por Lai (Wat Pah Bueng Thawai, Sakon Nakhon) and Ajahn Jaras (Wat Mettāgiri, Chaiya Bhumi) as they will be both staying at Lokuttara from the 3rd to the 14th of April. Ajahn Kalyano will be staying with us from the 11th to the 22nd of April, and is expected to attend the Songkran festival.
We are also very happy to have Her Excellency Ms. Vimolbajra Ruksakiati, the Ambassador of Thailand to Chile (and former Ambassador of Thailand to Norway) coming to celebrate Songkran with us.
