On the full moon of the eighth lunar month, we celebrate Asalha Puja, also known as Dhamma Day. It is one of our most important festivals. We commemorate the Buddha's first sermon, the 'Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta', the sermon in the deer park at Sarnath. The Wheel of Dhamma was set in motion for the benefit of all. The teaching, the Four Noble Truths, is the basis for all subsequent teachings of the Lord Buddha.
The program will be as follows:
10h00 – Regulations and parity.
10.30 – Rispindabat and meal offering.
11.00 – Meal.
12.30 – Circumabulation.
12.45 - Ajahn Kongrit gives a Dhamma speech in Thai and English.
13.30 – Blessing and closing ceremony.
Afterwards, those who wish can stay for tea and informal conversation.
Please note that the program may change slightly depending on the circumstances.
